Coming from the Les Bedines lieu-dit and all destemmed, the 2022 Châteauneuf Du Pape is based on 90% Grenache, 8% Syrah, and 2% Mourvèdre that was brought up all in stainless steel. Its medium ruby hue is followed by a classic nose of ripe red and black fruits, melted licorice, and roasted garrigue. With medium-bodied richness and depth on the palate, it has a lively, elegant mouthfeel, a good sense of freshness, and ripe tannins. This elegant, perfumed, satisfying 2022 will drink nicely for 8-10 years.

The 2022 Chateauneuf-du-Pape exhibits redolent raspberry, strawberry, licorice and minty nuances. Full-bodied and open-knit, the 2022 engages the palate with good concentration. Built around a firm tannic core, readers should give it another three years in bottle to settle.
