Elisabeth Chambellan Châteauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes 2016Color: The color is ruby red with blue highlight. Nose: We have a very intense nose of ripe fruits, cherry and blueberry jam, delicately spiced (sweet pepper), generous and harmonious. Palate: The mouth is creamy and sweet at first. There's an interesting compromise in mid-tasting between freshness and fat. We notice a very nice persistence, and the tannins are of a rare finesse, all the while being remarkably well structured. A great and generous Châteauneuf du Pape, elegant and complex. Food Pairings: Game animals or feathered game, meats red, exotic meals, spicy food, cheese, desserts with chocolate.
