100% Sangiovese Grosso grown in galestro soils at an altitude of 400m. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out in stainless steel; malolactic fermentation follows in oak. The wine ages for three years in large Slavonian oak casks. Aromas of raspberry and cherry, backed up by notes of mint, earthy spice, and chocolate. Medium-bodied on the palate with the perfect mix of sweet fruit notes and ripe tannins.

Wine AdvocateThe 2012 Brunello di Montalcino is a steady and tight interpretation with wild aromas of underbrush, white cherry, grilled herb, licorice and spice. The ensemble is balanced and fresh. This Brunello offers a thin and compact mouthfeel that could fall short in the future. For that reason, I would suggest a more immediate drinking window. You don't need to wait in order to enjoy this wine.

Wine EnthusiastEarthy aromas of underbrush, used leather, violet and game lead the nose while the straightforward palate offers juicy red cherry, clove and a saline note. Supple tannins and fresh acidity give it an approachable framework. Drink 2018-2024.
